When The Tide Calls

I think this life has always been a tidal wave
& it was always meant to swallow us whole.
Because I think that love & loss are equally immense.
& before the tide comes crawling,
you must decide
which immensity
is worth drowning over.

I hope if I sow up this sentiment
and bury it beneath the sea,
out will grow the strength I need
